Dad cancelled a date with another girl to wait and give mom a ride home when she got off work. They never looked back and were married for time and all eternity on August 24, 1964, in the Salt Lake City Latter-Day Saint Temple. Their love story produced six children, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Pleasant View 2nd ward at the time of her death.

Mom was a hard worker. She worked in the home raising her six children and when the youngest was in school, returned to the workforce. She worked for the LDS cleaning crew for many years, then as a staff assistant with the Ogden City school district. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She made numerous quilts for family and friends, including baby blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading books throughout her life. She was also an excellent cook and spent hours throughout her life baking and canning. In her retirement, she enjoyed all the time spent with dad, her beloved grandchildren, and traveling with their dear friends Darrell (Debra) Clarke, Eldon (Sharon) Badger.
