James McBride

1945 – 2023

Jimmy McBride passed away April 11, 2023, he was born September 4, 1945, in Ogden, Utah to James Henry McBride and Nellie Gray McBride. He was a graduate of Ben Lomond High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Army Reserves for 4 years.

Jimmy married Carollee Jones on August 24, 1968, in Ogden. They have three children, Heather Wright (Steve), Jody Scothern (Matthew) and Michael J. McBride.

Jimmy was the owner/operator of Universal Steel Fabricators. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, fishing, art, woodworking, gardening with his grandkids and spending time with the love of his life traveling to Mexico.

He is survived by Carollee, his wife of 54 years; his three children; five grandchildren Skyler, Cayden, Cache James, KC, Clayton; three great-grandchildren Ruger, Jameson, Lilah Lynn and his sister Tamra Champion. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Lou Jean Taylor and brother-in-law Douglas Champion.

The family would like to thank IHC Hospice Care – Julie Lee; and all his many friends, of which he had too many to count.

A Graveside Urn Burial will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden.
