Sharie Lee Wadman Strebel

Sharie Lee Wadman Strebel returned to her Heavenly Father on July 6, 2022. She was born on January 11, 1945, to John Howard and Winnifred Lee Wadman in Ogden, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served many callings.

She married Kenneth Robert Strebel on June 22, 1962. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple on March 16, 1974. They had three children, Kenneth (Tammy) Strebel, Kristine (Mitch) Howell and Sarah Alice Strebel. She had 8 grandchildren Trisha, Melissa Jacob, Landry, Garrett, Katrina, Lindsey and Sam and ten great grandchildren who were her greatest joy.

She had two sisters, Kathleen Call and Tamara (David) Atkinson, several brothers and sisters in law, Jerry (Laura) Strebel, Darrel (Helen) Strebel, Janet (Star) Brockbank, Carol (John) Empey, Judy (John) Pope, Gaylene (Ron) Thornock, Jack (Coleen) Strebel, and many nieces and nephews who meant the the world to her.

She was the heart of our family, and an excellent, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Her sweet, angelic (and sometimes sassy) innocence and childlike wonder was a sweet gift to her family. She always wanted to be a nurse, and she became one by lovingly and selflessly caring for several loved ones – including her daughter Sarah, for many years.  Her and Dad's home was the center of every family celebration and holiday.  Her deep faith and love was a beautiful inspiration to everyone who knew her.

She enjoyed crafts of any kind, bingo, shopping and being a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, daughter Sarah, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

Our family wishes to thank her wonderful family at the Auberge Community for caring for her in the last months of her precious life, and for the excellent care given to her by Symbii Hospice, Jennifer, Bailey, Alisa, Whitney, Michelle and many others.

Viewing will be held at Leavitt's Mortuary at 836 36^th Street on Wednesday, July 13 at 2:00 PM, followed by funeral service at 3:00 PM.
