South Ogden – Laura Lee Marriott Price, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend slipped into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June15, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.  She was at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was born June 4, 1945 in Ogden Utah, to Harold Ray Marriott and Lucille Fryer Marriott.  Laura was the third child from a very large, loving family of ten.

On January 15,1963, she married the love of her life, Richard B. Price, in Ogden Utah.

Laura was raised and educated in Ogden, attending Mound Fort Elementary, Mount Ogden Jr. High and graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1963.  Laura loved being a full time Mom to all of her children, and after enrolling her youngest daughter in school; she decided it was time to go to work.  Laura loved people and in 1977 she started a long and distinguished career as a Driver License Examiner in Ogden.  She served for 25 years, retiring in April of 2002.

Laura was extremely devoted to her family. Her greatest joy in life was being with, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Laura took great pride in keeping her home spotless.  She enjoyed golf, traveling, playing games, working in her yard, and spending time with her many friends.  Laura was also an avid reader.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the South Ogden Stake, Pleasant Valley 4th Ward.  She served many callings in the church.  Laura especially enjoyed working with the children as a Primary teacher, and as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard, two daughters and one son: Shelley Nakaoka (Glen), Hurricane, Dave Price (Becky), Farmington, Kris Attento (Mike), South Ogden, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, David and Jed Marriott, Layton, Kevin Marriott, Orem, Matthew Marriott, Ogden, and three sisters Carol (Glenn) Donnelson, North Ogden, Linda Obrien, Salt Lake City, and Melissa (Bart) Reeder, Layton.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Glenna Perkins and Susan Robison.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley 4th Ward, 850 East 5640 South, South Ogden, UT.  Family and friends may call at the Pleasant Valley Chapel on Thursday, June 20th from 6-8PM and again prior to services on Friday from 9:30-10:30AM.  Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

Laura was extremely devoted to her family. Her greatest joy in life was being with, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Laura took great pride in keeping her home spotless.  She enjoyed golf, traveling, playing games, working in her yard, and spending time with her many friends.  Laura was also an avid reader.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the South Ogden Stake, Pleasant Valley 4th Ward.  She served many callings in the church.  Laura especially enjoyed working with the children as a Primary teacher, and as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard, two daughters and one son: Shelley Nakaoka (Glen), Hurricane, Dave Price (Becky), Farmington, Kris Attento (Mike), South Ogden, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Laura was born June 4, 1945 in Ogden Utah, to Harold Ray Marriott and Lucille Fryer Marriott.  Laura was the third child from a very large, loving family of ten.

On January 15,1963, she married the love of her life, Richard B. Price, in Ogden Utah.

Laura was raised and educated in Ogden, attending Mound Fort Elementary, Mount Ogden Jr. High and graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1963.  Laura loved being a full time Mom to all of her children, and after enrolling her youngest daughter in school; she decided it was time to go to work.  Laura loved people and in 1977 she started a long and distinguished career as a Driver License Examiner in Ogden.  She served for 25 years, retiring in April of 2002.

Laura was extremely devoted to her family. Her greatest joy in life was being with, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Laura took great pride in keeping her home spotless.  She enjoyed golf, traveling, playing games, working in her yard, and spending time with her many friends.  Laura was also an avid reader.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the South Ogden Stake, Pleasant Valley 4th Ward.  She served many callings in the church.  Laura especially enjoyed working with the children as a Primary teacher, and as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard, two daughters and one son: Shelley Nakaoka (Glen), Hurricane, Dave Price (Becky), Farmington, Kris Attento (Mike), South Ogden, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, David and Jed Marriott, Layton, Kevin Marriott, Orem, Matthew Marriott, Ogden, and three sisters Carol (Glenn) Donnelson, North Ogden, Linda Obrien, Salt Lake City, and Melissa (Bart) Reeder, Layton.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Glenna Perkins and Susan Robison.

On January 15,1963, she married the love of her life, Richard B. Price, in Ogden Utah.

Laura was raised and educated in Ogden, attending Mound Fort Elementary, Mount Ogden Jr. High and graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1963.  Laura loved being a full time Mom to all of her children, and after enrolling her youngest daughter in school; she decided it was time to go to work.  Laura loved people and in 1977 she started a long and distinguished career as a Driver License Examiner in Ogden.  She served for 25 years, retiring in April of 2002.

Laura was extremely devoted to her family. Her greatest joy in life was being with, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Laura took great pride in keeping her home spotless.  She enjoyed golf, traveling, playing games, working in her yard, and spending time with her many friends.  Laura was also an avid reader.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the South Ogden Stake, Pleasant Valley 4th Ward.  She served many callings in the church.  Laura especially enjoyed working with the children as a Primary teacher, and as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard, two daughters and one son: Shelley Nakaoka (Glen), Hurricane, Dave Price (Becky), Farmington, Kris Attento (Mike), South Ogden, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard, two daughters and one son: Shelley Nakaoka (Glen), Hurricane, Dave Price (Becky), Farmington, Kris Attento (Mike), South Ogden, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, David and Jed Marriott, Layton, Kevin Marriott, Orem, Matthew Marriott, Ogden, and three sisters Carol (Glenn) Donnelson, North Ogden, Linda Obrien, Salt Lake City, and Melissa (Bart) Reeder, Layton.

Laura was born June 4, 1945 in Ogden Utah, to Harold Ray Marriott and Lucille Fryer Marriott.  Laura was the third child from a very large, loving family of ten.

On January 15,1963, she married the love of her life, Richard B. Price, in Ogden Utah.

Laura was raised and educated in Ogden, attending Mound Fort Elementary, Mount Ogden Jr. High and graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1963.  Laura loved being a full time Mom to all of her children, and after enrolling her youngest daughter in school; she decided it was time to go to work.  Laura loved people and in 1977 she started a long and distinguished career as a Driver License Examiner in Ogden.  She served for 25 years, retiring in April of 2002.

Laura was extremely devoted to her family. Her greatest joy in life was being with, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Laura took great pride in keeping her home spotless.  She enjoyed golf, traveling, playing games, working in her yard, and spending time with her many friends.  Laura was also an avid reader.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the South Ogden Stake, Pleasant Valley 4th Ward.  She served many callings in the church.  Laura especially enjoyed working with the children as a Primary teacher, and as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts.

Her greatest joy in life was being with, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Laura took great pride in keeping her home spotless.  She enjoyed golf, traveling, playing games, working in her yard, and spending time with her many friends.  Laura was also an avid reader.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the South Ogden Stake, Pleasant Valley 4th Ward.  She served many callings in the church.  Laura especially enjoyed working with the children as a Primary teacher, and as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard, two daughters and one son: Shelley Nakaoka (Glen), Hurricane, Dave Price (Becky), Farmington, Kris Attento (Mike), South Ogden, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, David and Jed Marriott, Layton, Kevin Marriott, Orem, Matthew Marriott, Ogden, and three sisters Carol (Glenn) Donnelson, North Ogden, Linda Obrien, Salt Lake City, and Melissa (Bart) Reeder, Layton.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Glenna Perkins and Susan Robison.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley 4th Ward, 850 East 5640 South, South Ogden, UT.  Family and friends may call at the Pleasant Valley Chapel on Thursday, June 20th from 6-8PM and again prior to services on Friday from 9:30-10:30AM.  Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
