OGDEN - Don Michael Willis returned to his Heavenly Father Tuesday, December 30, 2003 after an extended illness.

He was born November 22, 1944 in Ephrata, Washington, the first child of Sid and Belle Buswell Willis.

He lived in many states and Japan while his father served in the Air Force.

He graduated from Ben Lomond High School where he was active in dance and band. A talented pianist he also played marimbas and the trumpet.

He served in Guam while in the U.S. Navy. He lived in Southern California where he owned and operated his own hair salon. He was a gifted hairdresser, teacher and trainer. An avid golfer, he was a assistant golf pro in Red Hills California, where he earned his PGA card. He trained as a chef and worked at Hotel del Coronodo in California. He also owned and operated Greenscape Lawn Service for many years in Ogden.

Mike excelled and perfected everything he did. He loved people, entertaining and was generous and thoughtful. He loved his children and grandchildren, they were his life. He loved to travel and visit areas around the country.

He will be deeply missed by his family and parents of Farr West, Utah. He leaves behind three children; Shawna McCree, Las Vegas, Nevada, Stacee Willis, Corona, California, Danny Willis, Scottsdale, Arizona; two grandsons, Jayden and Conner; brother and sisters, Johnny (Debi) Willis, West Point, Sydney Willis, Farr West, Gene Ann Tanner, Farr West, Mary (Kent) McMillen, Ogden, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may call Monday, January 5, 2004 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
