John was our classes "Grizzle Adams". He loved fishing and hunting in his spare time.Whenever we went fishing, we always caught some nice trout. One time John and I, in his big 4 wheeler, forded the stream in South Fork and went way back in the timbers to fish. After we caught our limit and were leaving, he "high centered" his truck on a huge rock. We worked until dark and then I left to find a sheepherder wagon we'd seen earlier. We were lucky that this sheepherder was running a generator at near midnight so he could watch TV. He fixed some sandwiches and had us on our way within an hour. Unfortunately, we both had dates that night and couldn't call and cancel (yeah, you guessed it, they never went out with us again) <:(.

John was also an elk guide just before he passed away. I'm sure he's up "there" somewhere looking for some good fishing holes.

John moved next door to Sam and I when he married Sandy. Sandy and I are still good friends. John made me so  mad in high school because he had the most beautiful eye lashes. I told him they were ment for some model not a big ruff mountain man.

I didn't know John well.  He lived in a Neighborhood quite far from where I lived.  He was a handsome kid and from what I remember in School, had a ton of friends!

John was a very good friend of mine in high school and after graduation.  We lost contact with each other after I graduated from USU and moved to Colorado.  I do remember talking with him at several reunions.  John introduced me to "thrill hill" north of Ogden and "gravity hill" up by the capital in Salt Lake.

Good times smiley
